My family and I have been life-long residents of Howard County. My father, Dr. Clyde Thomas was a doctor in Howard County for more than 50 years. My Mother, Jane Thomas was involved in many civic organizations. I attended Big Spring High School and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with an accounting degree. I received my law degree from the University of Houston. I then returned to Howard County and have practiced law here for more than 25 years. I am licensed to practice in the State of Texas, I am a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and have served as the president of the Howard County Bar Association in 2012 and 2013. I have served as city attorney of Big Spring and as county attorney of Howard County for 12 years. I also serve on various Boards and Clubs in the community. I am very family oriented. I am married and I have three wonderful children, two step children and four grandchildren. When I am not practicing law, I try to spend as much time as I can with my family.
